Pupils of Mirak Unique Academy embarked on an educational excursion to the Special Ice Soft Drinks Factory at Oyarifa in Accra on Wednesday, 11th February 2026. The visit was organized as part of the school’s effort to expose learners to real-life industrial processes and broaden their understanding of how products they consume daily are manufactured. Accompanied by their teachers, the pupils arrived at the factory full of excitement and eager to learn.
During the tour, factory officials warmly received the pupils and guided them through the various stages of soft drink production. The pupils observed how ingredients are carefully measured, mixed, carbonated, and bottled under strict hygienic conditions. They were also introduced to the machines used in the production line and learned about quality control measures that ensure the safety and consistency of the beverages produced.
The excursion provided an opportunity for pupils to ask questions and interact with staff, who explained the importance of cleanliness, teamwork, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment. Pupils gained valuable insights into how science and technology are applied in everyday industries, helping to reinforce concepts they have learned in the classroom. Beyond the educational experience, the trip was both enjoyable and memorable for the pupils. They expressed great enthusiasm throughout the visit and appreciated the chance to see the production process firsthand. Teachers commended the pupils for their good behavior, while the management of Mirak Unique Academy described the excursion as a successful and impactful learning experience that contributes to the holistic development of their students.
