Mirak Unique Academy organized an educational excursion for its pupils to the Shai Hills Resource Reserve on Friday, 13th February 2026, as part of efforts to enhance experiential learning beyond the classroom. The trip brought together pupils and teachers in an engaging outdoor setting where students had the opportunity to explore one of Ghana’s notable wildlife and conservation sites. The excursion aimed to deepen pupils’ understanding of nature, wildlife conservation, and Ghana’s ecological heritage.

During the visit, pupils were taken on guided tours across the reserve, where they observed various animal species such as antelopes, baboons, and different birdlife in their natural habitats. They also explored the scenic landscape, including rocky hills and caves, while learning about the historical and cultural significance of the area. Resource persons at the reserve educated the pupils on the importance of preserving wildlife and protecting the environment, making the experience both informative and memorable.
